Smart Sniper Rifles and Scopes - Automatic "Hint" Adjustments for Wind, Breathing, and Range - Enhanced Targeting for Maximum Impact - Enhanced Sniper Scopes - Non-Satellite Guided Bullets - GTA Online - GTA Six

The sniper rifle in GTA Six should be different from the sniper rifles found in GTA Online and GTA 5. The sniper rifles in GTA Online do have the abilities to zoom in on targets, use of night vision sniper scopes, and infrared heat detection scopes, none of the sniper rifles in GTA Online are affected by wind, player breathing, and the range of the target.

Controlling these three elements is crucial to getting a sniper bullet to travel from the exit point of the sniper rifle's barrel, to the perceived and intended point on the target, as the shooter views it through the telescopic sight.

Rain might even be a factor in slowing down or altering the path of a sniper bullet, if the rain is thick enough. Maybe a heavy blizzard would also alter the intended course of the sniper bullet, after it has been fired.

There is speculation that in GTA Six, weather will play a crucial role in shaping the Grand Theft Auto gaming experience. This could mean that the weather will also alter the firing trajectory of certain weapons such as sniper rifles, or the weather could impact all weapons, if certain variables are met.

Firing in water and underwater may also be enabled in GTA Six and GTA Six Online.  For this blog entry, only the impact of wind, player breathing, and range will be considered, when firing a sniper rifle for precision impact. The image on the left shows a scuba diver firing the first assault rifle for underwater combat missions called APS. It was created by the Soviet Union (Russia).

The scope on the right features the crosshairs centered on a target. Under excellent conditions involving no wind resistance, controlled weapon operator breathing, and adequate range, the weapon operator can have faith in the scope to perform as intended.

Under less than ideal firing conditions, even the most well-trained sniper will have to compensate for wind, and range, all other factors being equal. In less than ideal sniping conditions, even the most sophisticated sniping telescope would have to be adjusted for wind, and range, for example. The image on the left, from Precision Rifle Blog, shows the crosshairs off target, to compensate for wind. Unless the weapon operator (the sniper) is heavily skilled, achieving a precise impact on a target under windy conditions is going to be a difficult task. The scope is essentially rendered useless, if the sniper bullets and the sniper rifle are not satellite guided, or the weapon operator is not sufficiently skilled.

To compensate for the windy weather, player breathing, and target range, the sniper rifles in GTA Online could have different types of sniper scopes that are enhanced with technology that assists the players in establishing a trajectory from Point A to Point B. An example high tech sniper rifle scope is found on the image to the right.

The sniper rifle software technology built into the sniper rifle scopes of GTA Six Online should not be satellite guided. The sniper bullets should not be satellite guided. This does not mean satellite guided smart rifles and ammunition cannot exist in GTA Six and GTA Six Online. For this blog entry, the focus is exclusively on advanced sniper rifle scopes.

A proposed system for enabling satellite guided sniper bullets and sniper weapons is proposed in the GTA Online Spy Satellite DLC. However, the actual software design mock up on this component has not been finalized "on paper" yet. The components to create satellite guided sniper bullets are found in GTA Online.

Satellite guided sniper rifle and bullet technology can be created in GTA Online without too much modification. Presumably, the same satellite guided sniper bullet technology can be created in GTA Six. A finalized version of the satellite guided bullet system using GTA Online in-game components should be possible to conceptualize. A mock-up of the satellite guided bullet system for GTA Online should materialize; it is on the "TO-DO" list.

The technology in the GTA Six sniper scopes should create a high probability that the sniper bullet will hit at the intended point on the target, as seen through the scope. The technology inside of the sniper scopes will also be programmable, so that a player can achieve no-scope impacts, at a higher rate than when the player does not have the "enhanced sniper telescopic scopes."

GTA Online's "free aim" and "assisted aiming" are not being factored into the "technology" inside of the sniper scopes, but free aim shooting and assisted shooting should be factored into the sniper scope technology. No-scope sniper shots should be achievable in GTA Six with or without in-game assisted aiming.

An example of a regular sniper scope with no targeting technology built-in, is pictured to the right. The sniper scope offers the basic accessories to give the player sniping functionality without the use of targeting enhancements.

The player in GTA Online, GTA Six, and GTA Six Online would be relying on muscle memory, and their gaming abilities to achieve most, if not all impact shots on another player. This could be considered as real as it gets when it comes to in-game sniper, and sniper rifle simulations.

An example of an enhanced telescopic sniper scope with built-in technology is pictured to the left. Just from a visual examination of the sniper scope, it is fairly easy to understand that it is a more advanced sniper rifle telescopic system.

The smart rifle image shown on the right, is real-world technology that can enhance the shooting abilities of anyone. Instead of enabling a smart rifle in GTA Online, GTA Six, and GTA Six Online, the "smart  weapons" can be created using telescopic sniping scopes.

Players of GTA Online, GTA Six, and GTA Six Online would have the option of choosing a basic scope, or advanced scopes that would provide greater accuracy in sniping situations.

The basic scope would be the traditional sniper rifle scope that is commonly used on sniper rifles. An image of the basic scope attached to a simple sniper rifle is shown on the left. The sniper rifle and sniper scope are from the Civil War era.

A more modern, yet still basic sniper rifle and sniper scope is found on the image to the right. The sniper scope and rifle model on the right are commonly found in sniper movies.

Presumably, non-tech sniper rifles are a tool of preference because sniping requires muscle memory and the ability to be able to accurately fire a round in less than ideal conditions. Snipers would have the training to be able to fire in any type of condition.

A still more modern, yet basic sniper rifle is the Dragunov 7.62 mm Sniper Rifle. The scope on this rifle is not high tech. The weapon is fired using training, and weapon operator skill.

For the high tech sniper rifle with an advanced and high tech sniper rifle scope, the accuracy of the advanced scope is provided via software built into the sniping scope.

The software inside of the sniper scope will not use a satellite guidance system, to help guide the bullets to their targets. The software enhanced sniper rifle scopes would help the player achieve a high rate of impact on most shots, during various shooting conditions.

The enhanced sniper rifle scopes for GTA Six and GTA Six Online could have a user interface inside of the scope. The image on the left shows a rifle scope with features that allude to it being "smart technology."

As the player uses the "smart scope," the software built into the smart scope would help the player achieve a high impact rate on most shots taken. This type of sniper rifle and weapons gameplay would be new and different for the Grand Theft Auto franchise. The advanced scopes can be enabled with other rifles and weapons. For this blog entry, the focus is on the .50 caliber rifle called a Barrett M82.
