The GTA Online Spy Satellite DLC was created from the user's perspective, using Computer Science and Software Engineering principles. No type of code or documentation related to GTA Online was used to create the GTA Online Spy Satellite DLC.

The GTA Online Spy Satellite DLC features new components that have been created using current in-game components found in GTA Online. The components in the Spy Satellite DLC may require new functionality, in order for them to work as intended.
Some notable features of the GTA Online DLC are the following:
- Social Engineering
- I think this is as close to 'realistic' social engineering as you can get, for GTA Online. This aspect adds a very interesting element to GTA Online. Social engineering is currently in story mode. I am presenting a different version of social engineering for the players of GTA Online to use.
- Aerial Attack Drone Swarms
- The components for this DLC update are currently in GTA Online. The components just need to get 'connected together' in order to enable this functionality for the players of GTA Online.
- Aerial Drone Vehicle Hacking
- This is commonly known as car hacking.
- Satellite-Guided Bullets
- These bullets are commonly known as smart bullets. Smart bullets are currently a real-life DARPA project.
- Ricochet Bullets
- These types of bullets could only exist in GTA Online. The concept will be pieced together using real-life combat technology, but applied to bullets. I am not sure if DARPA has the ability to ricochet bullets in a controlled manner (maybe they do). Ricochet bullets will be able to be shot and ricochet in a controlled manner by the players in GTA Online.
- Sunshine Bullets
- These bullets are a real-life bullet. They would blind the player with a bright flash of light.
