GTA VI (Six) , GTA Six Online, New Weapons, Weapons Customizations, Personalized Knife Sheath, Tactical Knife Holders, Knife Throwing, Knife Tricks
I previously explored potential weapon concepts that could appear in the next video game installment of the Grand Theft Auto series - Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI). Potential concepts for GTA Six Online have also been explored.
Here is another image of the shoe-knife (switchblade knife).
I expect GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online to be a radical departure from GTA V and GTA Online, even if from the software side of things, certain concepts appear to be the same. I expect GTA Six Online to pay more attention to their knives. With that, I expect knife throwing to be allowed in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online. Knife tricks might also be allowed. I also expect knife sheaths to be in the game.
This blog entry will explore, in general, knives and knife sheaths that could be in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online as well as different ways the weapons could be carried in the player's body to achieve an ultra-realistic effect.
The following image is a knife inside of a knife sheath. The knife sheath is customized with an American flag theme. The American flag theme is the Betsy Ross flag.
As in previous blog posts wherein I mention that the gun buying experience at Ammu-Nation should be immersive and life-like, I expect the same immersive and life-like experience for knife buying. The knives and knife sheaths should be fully customizable and the players should have the option of personalizing their knives and sheaths with emojis, for example.
Focusing on knife sheaths for this entry and a few examples of how the knives in GTA Six and GTA Six Online could be enabled, the players for GTA VI and GTA Six Online could have the following types of knives (and their sheaths) in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online:
- throwing knives,
- combat knives,
- chef knives and cutlery,
- Native American knives and weapons,
- there could be other weapons not listed here.
Other sharp objects that could be in GTA VI as part of the gameplay could be prison weapons such as a the following:
- a sharpened spoon,
- a sharpened toothbrush,
- the traditional jailhouse shank,
- rolled up hardened newspaper or magazine club,
- there could be other prison-related weapons not listed here.
The prison shanks, or any type of prison weapons should only be available for purchase in a prison or from a prison connection. It is assumed the player would go to prison to purchase these, or do a mission to earn these weapons, or find a prison connection to then procure the prison weapons.
The following are various examples of prison shanks:
I would expect that all knives and sharp objects have their own unique animations and limitations, to make the process of using them, more life-like and immersive. For example, all jailhouse weapons would not be able to be thrown to injure the player, while throwing knives and other throwing weapons, would be able to be thrown at the player, to injure the player. I'll focus on this topic in another entry, however. Getting back to knives and knife sheaths
A change we could see in GTA VI is that knives and the knife sheath, for example, would be sold by Ammu-Nation as part of a set, meaning to buy the knife at Ammu-Nation, you must buy a knife sheath. If no knife sheath is purchased at Ammu-nation, then a player cannot hold knives of any kind.
A sample knife and knife sheath are shown below:
In GTA VI and GTA Six Online, the knife and knife sheath could be worn by the player, as the player has the weapon enabled. Thus, the knife and knife sheath would be appear on the player's body, and the player would draw their weapon from the sheath, instead of the weapon just spawning into the player's hands like it does in GTA Online. Further, the knife and knife sheath could be worn in various styles to really give the player's GTA VI character, a unique look. Some examples will follow.
In GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online, the knife and knife sheath, as worn by the player, could appear in the following styles:
- Upper-leg - worn down the upper-leg area,
- Chest area - worn across the chest,
- Lower back - worn on the lower back for a concealed carry,
- Armpit area - worn tucked into the armpit area for a concealed carry,
- Upper-arm - worn on the outside of the upper-arm, near the should area,
- Forearm - worn on the forearm-only area,
- Upper-back - worn across the upper-back area,
- Calf-area - worn down the calf in the lower leg area,
- Ankle-area - worn on the ankle, hidden inside a boot,
- The boot would be customizable with different variants such as cowboy boots or combat boots.
- Boot knife - knife that is built into the boot, so player kicks with a knife.
- The boot would be customizable with different variants such as cowboy boots or combat boots. This concept weapon is found in movies. It has an expired patent, according to Google Patents. That information can be found at this link: US24354A United States Patent to Shoe-Knife
- Minor commentary on Youtube alludes to the shoe-knife being invented (or stolen) by the CIA. Here are a few articles on the shoe-knife, I guess it is a legitimate weapon:

- The shoe-knife can also be referred to as a "switchblade-shoe".
- I believe a heel-knife is also in existence, but that type of weapon is too specialized to be in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online. I assume the heel-knife would be as effective as the front-facing shoe-knife. I could not find a patent on the heel knife. It should be patentable. I could not find any concept mock-ups of a heel-knife. The heel-knife is not that difficult to conceptualize.
The first style shown that could appear in GTA VI and GTA Six Online could be a knife and knife sheath, worn down the upper-leg area. I think this might be the traditional method of wearing a knife and knife sheath. Please see the sample image.
The image that follows show the knife and knife sheath carried across the chest. This method of carrying a knife could appear in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online.
The image that follows shows the knife and knife sheath carried in the lower back area. The option to have knife and knife sheath visible during gameplay in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online should be available to the player.
In the following image, a concealed carry under the armpit area, down the side of the body is shown. This style of carrying a knife and knife sheath could be in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online.
A picture with a knife and knife sheath attached to the upper-arm area of a human body or a modeling dummy could not be found. Image will be provided at a later time.
The following image shows a knife and knife sheath in the forearm area. This location for a concealed carry or knife harness would be interesting to see in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online.
The upper-back area could also be a location to allow the players in GTA VI and GTA Six Online to store a knife using a knife sheath. The following image shows a knife and knife sheath in the upper-back area of a human body:
Alternate method of carrying a knife and knife sheath across the back that could appear in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online.
A knife and knife sheath could also be enabled in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online to be carried in the calf-area of the player's body. This animation is not found in GTA Online. Finding this knife animation in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online gameplay would be interesting.
The following shows a knife sheath concealed and carried inside of a boot. The boot knife sheath is not currently found in GTA Online. The booth knife sheath would be an interesting addition to GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online.
The following image shows a cowboy boot knife and knife sheath combination.
The next knife is a boot knife wherein the knife is weaponized by attaching it to the shoe, thereby, making the entire shoe the weapon. The knife is spring loaded and ejects from the tip of the shoe, just like a regular switchblade knife would eject, if the knife were handheld. This knife might've been created by the U.S. Government.
The shoe-knife was seen in the movie Salt, which is a CIA movie. Maybe this knife was invented by them. The Salt movie trailer can be found using a Google search.

More information on the shoe-knife pictured directly above can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M8Ml-eWIVY&ab_channel=kolourco.
Each knife and knife sheath should have its own unique location in the player's body where it can be carried. Obviously, smaller knives would be illogical to carry in the upper-back area. Long knives and swords would be illogical to carry in the smaller parts of the player's body.
More information on the shoe-knife can be found at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=eHuLG99dbfI&ab_channel=JLaservideo.
I expect a lot of realistic gameplay in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online, so I expect certain weapons to only be carried, or concealed in places where they would be carried and concealable in real life. A sword would not be concealable if it was carried on the forearm sheath, or the calf sheath and the lower-back sheath.
I think the topics of knife carrying and knife sheaths has been covered just enough to convey the overall concept that could be found in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online. Knife tricks should be allowable in GTA VI (Six) and GTA Six Online. Those topics will be explored in a later blog entry.
